BLC's Black Friday Sale: Bundles, Bundles, Bundles

By A.M. Giacoletto

Ah yes, the infamous Black Friday. One day after Thanksgiving dinner (at this point, the sales start a mere hours after), when everyone voices how thankful they are for the things they have, the same people flock to their local target to trample each other for the flatscreen new TV on discount. Lucky for you, valued Blue Line customer, no trampling is necessary to take advantage of our Black Friday sale, and no need to feel guilty over this sale, as you can immerse yourself in gratitude year-round for the amount of fish these Black Friday flies acquire you, or a loved one’s better yet, catch total, so taking advantage of this Black Friday Blue-Line-Toyotathon is a as much celebrating Turkey Day as pumpkin pie and your aunty’s cranberry sauce.

Anyway, check out the details on Blue Line’s 2024 Black Friday Sale. Stuff your loved one’s stockings or your own fly box and prepare for a productive 2024 fishing season. Below features the basic information on how Blue Line’s sale works once Black Friday hits. For specific flies in each bundle, check out the product descriptions once the bundles drop on the big day.

Trout vs. Bass Bundles

The bundles are found in two categories: trout and bass bundles. Self explanatory – one includes flies geared toward trout and the other toward bass. Can the bass bundle catch trout? Certainly. Can the trout bundle catch bass? Absolutely. Can either bundle catch you a girlfriend or a boyfriend? …probably not, but anything is possible through the power of hope (maybe).

Price Points

Each type of bundle is available at three price points:

  • $25
  • $50
  • $100

Individual price points come with our top selling flies for trout or bass, so the higher the price point the more flies are included. Also, each price point comes with a bonus value, which builds with additional price points (that means the bonus value for the $25 bundle – trout or bass– is included in the $50 bundle, and both the $25 and $50 bundles bonus values are included in the $100 bundle).

Bonus Values

Before the bonus values, each bundle includes flies retailing for nearly double the price listed for this sale. The $25 bundle retails for $50; the retail value for the $50 value is nearly $100, and the Benjamin bundle knocks on two-hundo. After the steal of the season, each bundle includes bonus values added at each price point. Here’s the breakdown:

  • Bonus at $25: This one includes a free fly box and  QR code to enter in a giveaway for an original piece from famous fishing and outdoor artist Ed Anderson. Don’t lie to yourself, you can never own a shortage of trout paintings to show off to dinner guests between wine and cheese servings.
  • Bonus at $50: Remember, the bundle values stack, so in addition to the fly box and potentially a sick new piece of art, you receive a year-long pro subscription to Trout Routes, which is normally $60 for an annual membership. If you are unfamiliar with Trout Routes, picture OnX for fly anglers; it’s a must-have for the traveling fly fisher (all fly fishers fancy themselves as travelers let’s be honest) and changes your ability to research new fishing spots. Google its features and tell me this isn’t worth its weight in flies and gold.
  • Bonus at $100: Now that you (possibly) have a badass painting, a new fly box, free access to the best trout fishing map app on the market, and a pile of flies nearly 50% off, you decide to upgrade to even more flies by purchasing the $100 bundle. With that, you receive an additional value of free shipping. I’m no mathematician, but you’re paying $100 – straight-up with no shipping added – for almost $200 of flies, a $60 subscription to Trout Routes, a $30 fly box, and possibly a piece of work from an artist who often sells his creations for hundreds of dollars. If I have to convince you that this is a ridiculous bargain, you’re worse at math than me – that’s not good.

Folks, I understand it – Black Friday floods your social media feeds with advertisements and obnoxious posts devised to sell you something, so I’m going to be honest: I’m trying to sell you something. Here at Blue Line, we’re transparent, but if you didn’t believe in our products, you probably wouldn’t be reading this, and, in the end, we’re hoping to deliver quality flies to our customers as we always aim to do. This sale offers an opportunity to give the amazing customers who keep the ship sailing an abundant value at a low cost, so take advantage while you can. If you have any questions related to the sale, please feel free to shoot us a message.

Be ready, these bundles drop Friday.

I’m trying to get the $100. Trout bundle for Hubz….(Black Friday Special). I guess I’m too early to order it, since Black Friday is tomorrow. Is it only available for purchase, tomorrow??? Would make sense but, just wondering.
P.S. it was great to meet Hobo Steve at the Portland Flyfishing Film festival couple years ago!
