Whether it be logjams, boulders, concrete walls, or cutbanks, and swamp donkey bass in the deep south or lurking brown trout in the Rocky Mountains, no fly works structure to the level of the Cooter Brown. The rattle adds an attention gaining element while the wide hook gaps create conditions for a proper hookset. This fly can be fished with on a 6-8 weight rod and is recommended to be used with a sink-tip line.
